Grandfathered, permanently
Whatever a membership costs on the day you take it, that is what it costs you — for as long as you hold it. If the price rises later, it rises for the next person, not for you.
There is no deadline on that and no countdown attached to it. It is simply how Kate does it, and it will still be true whenever you are ready. You are not being hurried.
Free, and meant
Not a trial. Not a teaser. A Wanderer reads every goal on every dragon, keeps a Daily Ritual, holds a Sanctuary Streak, reads the Scrolls, and sits in the community — free, indefinitely, with nobody tapping their watch.
What a paid membership adds is the quest: earning crests, with Kate verifying each goal by hand and posting the card herself. That is worth paying for when you want it — and it is not a failure to not want it yet.
That is the whole idea. Not where you meant to be by now, and not where somebody else is.
